As I am sure a lot of you out there would agree, Fall is the best time of year. The crisp autumn air, the beautiful changing of leaves, wearing sweaters and boots, apple picking, sipping hot beverages and decorating!! I decorate for every major and minor holiday, it gives me a chance to change things in my home that I may be getting tired of. The best season to decorate for (other than Christmas) is Fall (and yes Fall is a holiday in my book). Fall brings such a feel good, cozy feeling that makes me wish fall could last until January. Here's a peak into my home at my fall inspired décor.
Since I don't have a fireplace with a mantel, this is my faux mantel that I love to decorate! Those paper medallions I made and followed this tutorial!
You can never have too many chalkboards!
I love old and rusty things! This coffee can I found in my grandma's barn makes me so happy. The plaid thermos I found at a flea market last weekend.
This is a garland I made last year, The leaf pattern I found HERE and I free handed the pumpkin bunting. I love making things out of paper! Its cheap and easy and adds so much to a room.
This sweet little sign is from the dollar section at Target! A dear friend got this for me, because as she said "you just don't have enough fall decor!".
This is a wreath I made from an old grape vine wreath from a garage sale I got for $.25! I just added some do-dabs and made the sign by stamping fall themed words and phrases on it.
So I may have a thing for plaid tin! This plaid tin picnic basket I got last weekend at the flea market as well. I just want to take this and my thermos and go on a fall day picnic!
Nothing says fall like Mum's! I can never have too many.
Have a happy time decorating your home for this wonderful season! Cheers!
Well, like I have said many times before, I don't want my blog to be this super exclusive blog that is for flower lovers only! I want to indulge in my other passions, reach others and inspire others with things we both love! Another one of my "big loves" is home decor and style, I love looking at others homes and seeing how they made it their own. I also love decorating my own home and expressing myself in that way.
My good friend, Jade, has graciously opened her home up to my readers today for a home tour! I would love to make this a series (depending on how many people will let me invade their homes) about displaying other peoples style and design ideas to inspire and share with others. Without further ado, please enjoy the sweet Butterfield Inn (which is on Air BNB) with me!
I love the details in their home! Like this simple wooden sign Jade made!
This sign cracks me up and I want it in my house today!
There's nothing better than a sweet sleepy kitty!
Or a sleepy pup!
Well of course I had to show the picture of her freshly picked wildflowers! Duh!
Look at that awesome stenciled bright yellow wall! She cut the design out of cardboard and went to town!
I love how cute these kitchen utensil holders are! Mason jars lined with cute fabrics!
Michigan= The place to live!
THAT HEADBOARD! SWOON!
Jade is also an extremely talented artist!
If you are someone you know has a "home tour worthy" house please let me know! I would love to show off your home next month!
