I saw this idea and loved it, even though it goes against my business endeavor! Fake flowers in water! Such a wonderful idea especially during the winter months. We don't all have endless amounts of money to spend on fresh cut flowers, so this is perfect.
Heres what you'll need for this project:
Fake Flowers of your choice (I chose white Ranunculus)
Quick Water -simulated water for silk flowers
A bowl you don't care too much about &
First, open your water resin kit, there should be two bottles (part A & part B). In your bowl add equals parts a & B, mixing (SLOWLY) part B first then slowly adding part A.
Then pour the resin into your vase, pouring into the middle to keep from getting on the sides.
Mix SLOWLY, if you mix too quickly you will get bubbles in your resin. You'll need to mix for about 3-5 mins, scraping the sides and bottom while stirring. Mix until liquid is completely clear.
Now you need to cut your flowers down for arranging in your vase.
Once you've gotten your flowers to the length that you want, you have one hour to arrange them in your vase with the resin. After that it will start to harden.
Any (big) bubbles in the resin will rise to the surface and pop. The small bubbles will not, thats from stirring too hard. The resin will cure in 8-10 hours. For cleaning your mixing bowl, let it harden and then you can pull it out in one piece.
Enjoy your arrangement all year along!
