Friday, my friend Kate and I made our longgg way to the Windy City, by train....
What an adventure! We missed the first train and had to wait for the next one, got lost trying to find the Flower Show, almost missed our train home, but all and all I think we both agreed it's a hilarious story and who doesn't love spending time in Chicago?
Every year around this time, Mariano's puts on this Floral Show. It's located in a large indoor arena at Navy Pier and there are flowers galore! Here's a little bit of what we saw...
There were so many different colors of tulips, I couldn't believe how many different kinds, at least 30!
They also had wedding table designs and venues. The one below was my favorite!
I normally do not like Carnations, but this is stunning!
This little shop display was one of my favorite things, it made me feel like I was in Paris at an outdoor market picking up flowers for my flat uhh wee wee!
I got so many fresh ideas. It was a good experience.
And oh the Hydrangeas...
Until next time Chicago, farewell!
